Enjoy this longtime Paxton tradition! The ritual of ‘Draggin’ Main’ has been enjoyed by generations in and around Paxton. Be ready to cruise up Market Street, make a U-turn at Holmes then cruise back down (safely turn around in Paxton Hardware’s parking lot). You can simply cruise like we used to “back in the day” or park on the downtown street to mingle with friends. Feel free to bring lawn chairs. When you need a break from cruising, stop into our restaurants and shops to see what they have to offer.

Paxton Main Street will host a hot dog and pork burger cook-out at Veteran’s Square (where old bowling alley was) and feature live music. Draggin’ Main 2026 t-shirts will be for sale at Paxton Mercantile and Veterans Square.

In order to continue this great community event, please follow all the rules of the road, be courteous and NO burnouts. Most importantly, GO TO TAFT!
